Employee Spotlight: Owner, Whitney Vredenburgh
Whitney, when did you start Nested Spaces?
Nested Spaces was formed in 2016. I moved from St. Louis to Indianapolis in 2014 and was ready to start a new journey. While settling into a new home, I discovered I was ready to take the jump and start the business. I have always loved design, and creating warm and inviting spaces. I was introduced to home staging at a young age. My mom was a realtor and incorporated staging in her homes and the results were dramatic.
Fast forward to now, our home staging and design services have really grown tremendously. We have a team of seven talented individuals. I love that we have been able to work with amazing clients to sell homes and design spaces homeowners fall in love with.
What’s your favorite part of working at Nested Spaces?
I love being creative and trying new styles and pieces in spaces. Each home is different, which makes each project challenging and fun! The transformation is my favorite part, and so is the messy middle.
What is your favorite room in the home to style?
I love styling a kitchen and a family room. Both rooms are critical parts of a home. Other than bedrooms, these spaces are where we all spend most of our time.
What’s your favorite home style?
I naturally lean toward a transitional style and probably more traditional style homes. I love chinoiserie and beautiful vintage finds. Some of my chinoiserie and vintage finds have been incorporated into my own home.
What designer inspires you most?
There are so many designers I love following. I think what Tara Shaw has done in the world of interior design is inspiring!
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love reading and being outside. One of my favorite activities is visiting parks. I am also a mom of four amazing children. They definitely keep me busy!
